Stan Petersen was trained as a mason from childhood by a father who made his living as a brick mason. Stan has been working in the construction trade for a lifetime.
He is most concerned with preserving the dying art of old world masonry and lime plastering. His goal is to not only create interest in the use of lime as a building material, but to create the need for skilled craftsmen through education and experience to provide alternatives to environmentally responsible building techniques.
Natural lime plaster and age old finishes have withstood the test of time world wide. This is an environmentally sound alternative to synthetic stucco.
Stan has plastered various structures such as strawbale, wood frame, adobe, rastra, compressed earth blocks, cement and cob homes.
